WLAN family of adapter solutions
Qualcomm Atheros offers our retail equipment customers a family of high-performance, USB designs to suit a variety of adapter requirements. We provide solutions for both the 2.4GHz and 2.4/5GHz bands, an increasingly important configuration given the growing demand for 5 GHz support of latency-sensitive media content.
Our 802.11n solutions for adapters are:
- XSPAN® 2-stream, single- and dual-band USB design options
- Align® 1-stream, single-band USB
Both the single- and dual-band options of the XSPAN 2-stream solutions feature embedded wireless network processors to provide host offload functionality for greater support of the WLAN function.
Hybrid Networking with Qualcomm Atheros WLAN, Powerline and Ethernet
Our 802.11n solutions combine with Qualcomm Atheros’ industry-leading AMP™ (PLC) and low-power ETHOS Ethernet solutions to enable the PLC/Wi-Fi/Ethernet and PLC/Ethernet adapter solutions.
