Atheros to Present at Upcoming Investor Conferences

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2006 – Atheros Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATHR), a leading developer of advanced wireless solutions, today announced that Jack Lazar, vice president and chief financial officer, and Dave Torre, vice president and chief accounting officer, will present at the AeA Classic Financial Conference on Monday, Nov. 6 and Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, Calif. 

Jack Lazar will also be participating in the Prudential Equity Group Technology Investor Day on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at the Grand Hyatt in New York.  On Tuesday, Nov. 14, Dr. Craig Barratt, president and chief executive officer, will present at the UBS Global Communications and Technology conference also at the Grand Hyatt   in New York.

The webcast presentation at the AeA conference is scheduled for Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific time and the UBS conference is scheduled for Nov. 14 at 11:15 a.m. Eastern time. Both presentations will be webcast live via the investor relations section of the Atheros website at www.atheros.com.
