Atheros Schedules Third Quarter 2006 Conference Call for Oct. 23, 2006

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Oct. 5, 2006 – Atheros Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHR), a leading developer of advanced wireless solutions, has scheduled its third quarter 2006 financial results conference call for Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. Pacific time.  Atheros will release the company’s third quarter financial results at approximately 1 p.m. Pacific time.
