Atheros Communications Announces Proposed Initial Public Stock Offering
SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 2, 2003 – Atheros
Communications, Inc. announced today that it has filed with the Securities and
Exchange Commission a registration statement relating to the proposed initial
public offering of shares of its common stock. The filing provides for an
offering of up to $100 million of common stock. All of the shares will be sold
by the Company. The shares will be offered by an underwriting group managed by
sole bookrunner Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, with co-lead manager Lehman
Brothers Inc. and co-managers Banc of America Securities LLC and Thomas Weisel
Partners LLC. Atheros Communications develops semiconductor
solutions for secure wireless local area networks. Atheros’ technology is
incorporated into products provided by many wireless equipment manufacturers.
